Temporary Protected Status has been extended and redesignated for Somalia for 18 months beginning on September 18, 2024, and ending on March 17, 2026.

DHS is also suspending certain regulatory requirements for certain Somali F–1 nonimmigrant students who are experiencing severe economic hardship, effective September 18, 2024, and ending on March 17, 2026.
