Temporary Protected Status for Ukraine Extended and Redesignated
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the extension and redesignation of Ukraine for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months from Oct. 20, 2023, through April 19, 2025.
This means that Ukrainians currently in the US on TPS can re-register to retain TPS through April 19, 2025, as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements. To keep TPS status, these people must re-register during the 60-day re-registration period.
Ukrainians (and individuals having no nationality who last habitually resided in Ukraine) that would like to apply for TPS for the first time may file applications if they have continuously resided in the United States since Aug. 16, 2023, and have been continuously physically present in the United States since Oct. 20, 2023.
This is a great opportunity for Ukrainians to remain safely in the United States and obtain work authorization.
Please book a consultation on our calendar if you have questions or would like to discuss your TPS application!
